"batman, robin, and the boogie-works"

[how a comment to a lonnng post elsewhere, about how to diddle with the words -- becomes something more; sometimes "giving and receiving" can be so basic that it's "species autonomic"; like how the link-link in our indie heads, bridges space and time to other heads, as naturally as breathing; merry christmas, human peoples]

- ROBIN: Holy, word-shit, Batman, the girl carries on.
- BATMAN: So I noticed.
- R: So, to the question buried in the verbal avalanche, like alpine daisies underneath a ton of letter snow -- "How do you create a likeable character?" -- what's your answer?
- B: You don't.
- R: Oh, puzzle me to the extreme, dark knight with armored lim-ou-sine.
- B: Careful. Don't mock the Batman.
- R: Sorry, calm destroyer of evil in the world.

Wiscon hotel query

Hi all,

does anyone know whether the automatic booking system for the Madison Concourse is working properly? I've tried to book for WisCon using it and it says that no rooms are available at that time, which seems unlikely (but not impossible) six months before the con!

(I dropped a note earlier in the week to the hotel contact but haven't had a reply yet)

ETA: I've phoned the hotel and succesfully booked rooms. Obviously the online reservation system is not quite working (again!)

[Original Story] Redeemer

Title: Redeemer
Rating: R
Genre: Fantasy/Gothic/War/Teen
Warnings: Violence, smut, possibly language and slash
Summary: Mix-bloods were never meant to walk this world, so in return for living, God bestowed a cruse upon us. That one day, not too distant from our birth date, we will die. However, that day is far enough away that for a while, just a tiny bit of a while, we will enjoy life and then turn around to see it all taken away.
In this world there are only two of us left, two hybrids, half angels... and half vampires.
God who has betrayed us, God who treat us unfairly... unfortunately, he is not our enemy, but rather, he is the source that will kill us, and keep us surviving, for God isn't a person, angel or whatever it is people perceive him to be, he is a book. At least, in this era, that's what he is. That is why I finally have a chance to survive and break my curse. Until... the Redeemer came back into my life, or perhaps I provoked it, but she was bad news still. We share a same goal and that is to obtain the "God's Book," which will break out curse, and kill those who stand in our way, we spare no mercy for anyone... and in the end, not even each other.
Inspired by manga: Bloody Cross
